this is my main riff playing patch. i call it DEICIDE. i play in a death metal band. i'm kind of addicted to the bone crushing distortions of brutal death metal bands like deicide or cannibal corpse. this patch is inspired from "scars of the crucifix", a deicide song. note - turn off the comp, wah/efx, mod/sfx, delay & reverb modules as this is a dry, riff playing distortion. but u can use this as a basic patch & add some effects to make a solo playing patch. sometimes i add up a little delay or the harmonized pitch shifter or the wah & raise the patch level to create a decent patch for solo playing. my experience - i made this patch with my bc rich warlock in my stranger cube80 amp. i NEVER had any feedback or noise problems on stage. i tune my guitar one step down & use thick strings (10's) and i still get a cutting edge distortion. but this is strictly a patch for playing death metal. dont end up playing some GnR shit with this patch!
