The G1 represents a significant upgrade from the previous 505 series. The new Zoom G1 pedal features 24-bit/96kHz digital multi-effects and an incredible 40kHz frequency response. The G1 also includes a built-in drum machine, harmonized pitch shifter and an astounding 46 effect types.

Heavy Metal Rhythm Guitar (Symphony of Destruction - Megadeth

Description:

I don't usually try to simulate a sound, but I was listening to some Megadeth and wanted to play along so I made this preset which sounds quite much like Symphony of Destruction. However I use it for many other heavy metal songs. Remember that recordings usually have several guitar recordings layered on top of eachother and therefore you will often not get the exact same sound as on the record. However, this sound here would definately sound like the real recording should you work with it in a composer program. I didn't find any effects that appealed to me, feel free to turn on your compressor if you want to but I just felt that most effects took away the true heavy crisp and raw sound that you get naturally from the BG Crunch. And change the patch level according to your setup :)
