Nice try. Slash has a inverted phase on his tone, (Kinda like two wah's, one on full and one off full). You'll never get the tone right, cuz U ain't got his hands. Great try though! Good work my friend, keep it up. Also, try rolling a bit of your tone on your guitar down. This helps. Now a days, Slash uses a Marshall Vintage modern. He also uses his faithful JCM800. Try these amp simulations as an overtone, (2 into 1 etc), they work better. Also. give Amplitube a go, it's got some awesome sounds.
